Plant-based: grape seed oil and castor oil
The Saalux® Dandruff Solution is based on a combination of grape seed oil and castor oil, which are characterised by their excellent ability to penetrate the intercellular spaces of dandruff and calluses. The fatty acids help to loosen dandruff and cell clusters.
Grape seed oil and castor oil have long been recognised as valuable cosmetic ingredients. As well as their dandruff-removing effect, both oils nourish and soothe sensitive skin. They also help retain moisture, have anti-inflammatory properties and relieve itching.
Effective and clinically proven
The combination of plant-based active ingredients used in Saalux® Dandruff Solution has been clinically proven effective in the treatment of psoriasis patients for over 15 years. In this context in particular, effective and rapid removal of dandruff is crucial in order to be able to start the actual topical treatment without delay. Usually, just 1–2 applications are sufficient. Equally important is rinsing the product out gently and thoroughly after the application time.
Gentle alternative to salicylic acid
Traditional dandruff removers are based on the use of urea or salicylic acid in varying concentrations. The most common side effects are a burning sensation and skin irritation. Furthermore, there is a risk of poisoning in the event of excessive use or impaired liver or kidney function. Higher-strength combinations of active ingredients are therefore often only authorised for adults.
The Saalux® Dandruff Solution, on the other hand, allows for a significantly gentler removal of dandruff without these side effects; it can be used regardless of the user’s age.

Application
- Apply generously for effective treatment
- Cover the treated areas as airtight and watertight as possible (e.g. with a shower cap or cling film)
- Leave on for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight
- Then wash out with a mild shampoo
- Once the flakes have been removed, UV phototherapy can begin
- Usually, 1 to 2 treatments are sufficient
